My Tai

baby.boomer - 2008-06-26 14:40

Henry Tai is my man! Big Grin I just received a Victor RC-M50 from Henry that I bought as an eBay BIN, and it's awesome: absolutely perfect in every way. Great looking, wonderful sound (deep bass and crystal clear highs), 100% functional (including tape), pristine cosmetic condition and - as a Japanese domestic edition - a real rarity. Henry ships fast from Hong Kong and uses enough bubblewrap to insulate my entire house! What more could I ask for?!... just that I get to do business with Henry again real soon. I'm glad I have ties to Henry Tai!! Wink

another happy ending -

--its seems so risky to buy boxes from 10,000 miles away -- but its mostly working out lately.

nice going to both you and henry

oldskool69 - 2008-06-26 16:46

Well, we know at least three we could buy from in HK. If Henry ever has a three piece dream I can afford, I'll definitely be interested! Big Grin

masterblaster84 - 2008-06-26 18:17

I agree Henry is a good guy and I'm glad we have another success story.
Personally I wouldn't have a problem buying from a Henry again. Nod Yes

but i had a heart breaking week with my girlfriend(we're still stay together)
so i decided to give a new addition to my collection. Then, i let this little bad ass go.
i'm trying my very best to avoid damage to these gems...they deserved to be loved.

I hope those were tears of joy that filled your eyes when the M50 arrived safely. It's going to bring a lot of joy around here! I can assure you that it'll have a safe and appreciative home for many years to come. And I promise to treat your "gem" with as much love as you did. Wink

My hope is that whatever was heartbreaking for you this past week is now over and that you and your girlfriend are doing fine.

Thanks again for a great boombox and equally great transaction!

kid.sensation - 2008-06-27 10:32

It might take me a few days to rustle up a camera, but I'll do it.

As for size, well, let's just say that anything looks small next to me.

(But the M50 is definitely a midsize boombox.)

You're right that the M50 looks like a mini on me...

Having said that, I confess that the photo above isn't really me. It's just an image I stole from the Internet by Googling "fat guy on the beach." Not that there aren't similarities... Wink

Here's the M50 is with some of my boombox family... a Prosonic PQR-9962, Conion C-100F, Sanyo M-7900 and a couple of Sharp 9191's. The M50's size is closest to the 9191's... definitely midsize.

henrytai - 2008-07-01 11:51
