Just got this beauty from Peppin - not even 10 minutes ago. Double boxed and bubble wrapped - made it here from Hong Kong in just a few (rather long) days! Looks wise - 95%, and sound wise - one hundred and ten
For those who have RX-7000 but not RX-7200 - sell your RX-7000 RIGHT AWAY!! This RX-7200 looks a LOT better, and sounds better as well!!
Thanks Peppin!
Here's a quick pic!!

Thank you Ramon and Skippy!
hey ramon -- whats that puny box in your avitar ??
(or -- if its something i had sold you --dont reply)
Call me when...(if you ever)...get tired of that RX-7200.
Great Score!
you know i think that could be the nicest looking boombox ever made.
Thanks guys!
Ya, I'm surprised that I like RX-7200 so much better than RX-7000 - they look so similar in the pictures.... 7200 seems to have more bass - I think I like the sound of it even better than RX-5350 - which doesn't have enough highs (in my opinion). I'll have to do a side by side tomorrow to make sure
how do you change the digital tuner --
is it up/down buttons -- or a rotary dial ??
Those are the two bigger buttons under the right speaker. I didn't think I would - but I actually like the digital tuner here. Overall, I would say this is my new favorite box - at least for right now
Here's a better pic of National 7200 and NP-5350.
Sound-wise - they are pretty close - but 7200 seems louder then 5350 - I listen to 5350 at half volume, while 7200 at half volume is too loud.

Awesome Vladi, I always liked the looks of the 7200.
The only reason I never went for the 7200 is the low FM band, other than that I think they look very cool.
Don, there's a little overlap, and I do get 3-4 Dallas FM stations - and one of them I actually listen to a lot, so it worked out just great for me!
what is the highest FM number that your 7200 gets ?
masterblaster84 - 2008-11-09 11:49
Is the FM band modifiable? Since nobody has done it that I'm aware of I assume it would be fairly technical if at all possible.
Ira, it goes up to 89.9 FM
Don, I wouldn't know if it's possible to modify the tuner board - I'm sure it could be done by someone who knows what they are doing (translation: not me
)
yes --its do-able -- i think (??) with digital , also.
one of our members bought a japan model pioneer 900 and bumped the tuner up to FM 108
there would be an extensive work to get pass the 89.9 especialy because of the digital tuner nature oh btw ira that tosh was the first box i bought when i lived in philly and was traded for the kasuga that i told you i had
well - thats sweet -- but it still looks puny
sorry ira are you looking for a woopen
u're both lookin for a kicken
Congrats vladi nice score ther mate, does your m90 still hold the top spot or is this box the new king
Tim, your M90 is the best sounding box I have. Not the prettiest one though - why couldn't they make it black or silver
But as far as sound - I'd say the RX-7200 is 3rd best in my collection - it's REALLY good
What is number 2 in your collection vladi?
Sanyo BigBen followed by National RX-5350, National RX-7200 and National RX-4360 - I like the Sanyo a little better because it has more highs than the Nationals. Sharp GF-777 is pretty awesome too - it's really hard to pick number 2 - I have too many high end boxes. At least one thing is clear though - the M90 is the best
hey vladi -- you are the only member (maybe)
with NO DUDS !!
your tiny collection are all 100% winners

Now there's a statement you don't see very often.
In fact I didn't know this was possible.
Don, what can I say
But ya - it did sound kinda crappy on my part - sorry!!
Hi vladi, congratulation... In fact this RX-7200 looks pretty decent and clean like new... for sure you'll love it... I totally agreed that some collectors might not like RX-7200 due to FM band support... but for sure it's looks more sophisticate and classic than RX-7000... anyway enjoy and Best Wishes.. Peppin
Nice addition Vladi. The 7200 seems to be high end gear.
And , Peppin . Do you own the red VZ in your avatar? Sweeeeeeet
kid.sensation - 2008-11-10 13:29
gorgeous!I want one, now!
seriously, always loved the upside-down panas/Nat-Pans and the 7000 was my favourite, until now!!
That digi tuner display makes it all for me.
If you do not mind the question vladi, how much was it or how much should i expect to invest for one in such pristine condition shipped?
gonna ask our local HK-members if they could dig up another
It is a high end box - and I paid $900 plus shipping. So if any member wants it - I can sell it for $900 with free shipping
(j/k)
900$ whoa i nearly fainted
Tim - big sound - big $$$$
No, I didn't pay that much - I just didn't want to say how much I REALLY paid - as people might get REALLY interested in getting that great boombox, and then I won't feel special anymore - because everybody will have one - just like M70
(j/k)
Fair enough bud hey can you pm me what peppin has for sale if anything, im in the market for a box but there is just junk in the uk minus royals listing i have looked for peppin on ebay but cant find him.
hi tim --try this link --and then check his 'other items' --

Ya, what Ira said. Initially I was going to get both Peppin's Nationals, but ran out of money - so I only got one. These upside down boxes sound really good - in my opinion
Tempted to buy that panna i just dont know.
The RX-7000 has lots of highs and so-so bass - I personally like that kind of sound - I don't ALWAYS need tons of bass

You have wrong 5350
Vlad, where you got knobs for your 5350? Or it is other item?
Mike, I was comparing RX-7200 with RX-7000. RX-7200 has better bass than RX-7000, in my opinion. And 5350 has better bass than either one of those
I do not have the knobs yet - I'm not sure where to look for them, but I'm sure I'll find them somewhere one day
I got my victor m90 from peppin. Beauty. Fully working.
