Finally.. after weeks of hardcore negotiating,I landed this personal grail of grails from a man whom perhaps some of you know as "Redbenjoe". We worked a two for one deal and think it worked out awesome for both of us. Ladies and gents I give you the infamous Aiwa CS880U from the ultra class AAA+++ Redbenjoe collection. Thanks Ira!!!!!

Sweet, that's the prettiest ugly box out there. Ira manages to come through often, a great bloke.

haha -skippy --i used my rare 'soft sell' technique --
while all knowing it would be a good surprise for you --
i think lots of us were in deep shock --
when after you showed us all your great 880 work, with all those informative, detailed pictures---
that you suddenly sent it to ol' UK rimmer -- who , of course , was also a most deserving wanker !!
----anyway --this is your 'what goes around //comes around evidence
-----------------
the charming feedback for the 2 dynOmite boxes you sent me in this trade--is coming up shortly --
but as a brief preview --
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!
rimmer and a few other 'blind' members

--
say the 880 is ugly --
but imho . its unigue and cool and one of the most interesting looking designs --ever
banjo man is the bestest

Finally, an official word from Skippy! This AIWA looks almost brand new - nice score! Nice I'm waiting to hear about the two boxes that Ira got

vladi -- (confidentially)

i beat that old skippy silly --
wait till you see what i got for that turkey 880

pictures by tomorrow
Ira, but I already know that you got a non-working parts-missing attention-needing grail-less Conion

But what is the deal with the second box?? Nobody said it was going to be *Un menage a trois* - why wasn't I invited!!!!!

vladi -- the second box is an aiwa #350 --
its a gorgeous mini with mostly aluminun plates
pictures to follow --
buts its just more proof that skippy has the 'good sh1t'

here is my skippy haul --
the aiwa 350 looks and works like new --the other pix will be in skips feedback -- later

Thanks Vladi! I was super happy to get another CS880,I love it.

They look great Ira! I'm glad you like them. I think we had a great trade, thanks!

skippy -- that was extra cool and kind of you --to NOT mention or show pictures of the 880 crappy section !!

Crappy section? Man this 880 straight up rocks!!!!!!

skippy --
i meant that you didnt show a picture of those two dumb marks on the top (where the handle is)

which -- i think you will have to sand with #220 to remove --
if i kept it -- i wouldnt care -- but if you need to make it like mint --
there's your little saturday project

I know Ira,I was just giving you a hard time. I might make it mint in the spring,I know those marks will be no sweat to fix. There is only one functional issue I need to resolve. It only records on the right channel when the record volume level is in manual mode. It record normal and almost flawless in both channels in automatic mode, weird

and no biggie either.

that big
aiwa is beautiful.the little one is great too. the big one tho is just awesome
thanks bill --
