I just received a Universum CTR-2312M from hifitom in Germany, and it's absolutely, positively, totally wonderful!
Works perfectly (tape and radio) and in mint cosmetic shape. (It's a lot like the Zenith R99, Realistic SCR6 and GE 3-5286A... only nicer, with multi-bands, needle VU meters, dark grey color and twin antennas.)
Tom's packing was "bulletproof," with a rigid box, plastic wrap, bubble wrap, foam, styrofoam, and shredded paper.
He even included a midsize Grundig box (with FM presets) as a bonus "gift"... can you imagine that?!
(When he said, "gift," I thought he meant maybe a chocolate KinderEgg.)
I need to go now and towel off after so much shock-and-awe (my heart can't take this much excitement so early in the day). If Tom lists a boombox for sale in the future... do yourself a favor and buy it (that is, if you're ready for a visit to Boombox Heaven). Thanks Tom!
