real-estate-items I don't know what your handle is but I hope you read this: Who do you think you are mouthing off to Stereo2Go members when they sell items on ebay. Why don't you leave everybody who sells boomboxes on ebay alone and mind your own business. Stereo2Go members look what this P.O.S. wrote I just copy and pasted this. This what he wrote to me: You sold a CHEAP REPRO Korean to this poor stupid sucker. Your little video doesn't proof squat! S2G members are the most dishonest sellers on ebay so don't brag about being a member....

I'm with you LL. There's no deception on your auction. I was watching it too, just to see how it went. You listed it as it was/is. People read what is listed and view the pics. If they don't feel like buying, they don't. They buy what they want. This is shocking. I too wonder if this is the same person. Sad that someone cares enough to be so negativetoward others

So, an eBay seller who calls hiimself real-estate-items is angry, and sent you an insulting message saying that you're dishonest and I'm stupid.

I have a theory about that. My theory is that real-estate-items is livid with jealousy because you just got $1200 for your Conion and he had to accept an $800 offer for his Conion that sold on Apirl 14.

So, he decided to take a few minutes out of his busy day to write to you about how the only reasons you got your Buy-It-Now price were 1.) you failed to disclose that your Conion was a reissue, and 2.) I'm an idiot (I mean, "poor stupid sucker") for buying it.

The fact is, he's wrong on both counts. What he fails to understand is this:

1. With your gobs of photos and your video, it was easy to see that your Conion was the made-in-Korea reissue. You didn't hide it. You showed it off!

2. I'm not quite as stupid as I look. I paid your Buy-It-Now price both because I didn't want to risk losing this box to another bidder and because you have a record of outstanding service. I also paid it because I really wanted a Korean-made reissue Conion... which is what I got. A perfect one, in fact! After years of trolling eBay for boomboxes, I can safely say that, while the Korean-made Conion is missing some features of the original, Japan-made one (VU meters, the Deck 2 controls, the Deck 1 light-path indicator, among other things), it is actually harder to find than the original. The fact is, I already own (and have owned for years) a Clairtone and Nippon version, and I don't need or want another original. The Korean Conion is unique. It was obviously made at a time when electronics manufacturers were looking for ways to cut costs. And two of the ways they did it with the C-100F were to use cheaper labor to leave off a few features. Fascinating!

3. You got your $1200 Buy-It-Now asking price, while he was stuck accepting an $800 offer, because your box is in mint condition both cosmetically and functionally. You also offered free shipping with BIN. He charged $97.95 for shipping to the U.S. from Canada, and his boombox wasn't exactly mint. In fact...
a.) The tape decks weren't working.
b.) The Tape 1 door had no spring.
c.) There was a chip above the name.
d.) There were a number of "scuffs" and "scratches."
e.) There were hairline cracks on the feet that he had repaired with glue.
f.) There was static in the controls.
g.) The cassette storage drawer wouldn't stay closed.
h.) A screw fastener on the back was broken.

Throughout his item description, he says that these sorts of defects don't "affect anything at all" and "aren't bad at all." He's wrong. They are bad... and the effect they have is that they lower the value of the boombox.

Real-estate-items has a right to be angry. But it's not because you were dishonest or because I didn't know what I was doing. It's because he had an inferior boombox to sell, and you made more money than he did. I guess I'd be mad, too, if that happened to me!

I don't know if you guys saw this message to the person selling this radio from Real_Estate_items but I could not resist to copy it as it was posted at the end of the listing the last day of the Auction. I knew it would come in handy and here you go.

Its this plonkers FAULT that we lost good member Gsbdbeamer and the main reason i flared up a month ago. I remember being in the chatroom once with anouther member, this guy came in the room as there had been some disagreements on the forum. All i can say is that the foul language that persued from him was unbelivable, Ive witnessed nothing like it ever since on the forum.

The Clairtone 7980 listed on eBay @ $1,400 BIN by our pal, real-estate-items, hasn't sold, and he hasn't had any serious offers, so today, with just 2 days left to go on his auction, he lowered the BIN to $1,399.99.

What am I missing here?
