DM4U, DecentMan4you - Extreme caution advised !!!

maxx134 - 2012-04-06 07:57

ok I see thats why.

Your ebay is not postedtp sell other countries, but the person you ask about is in USA.

Actually you can get more buyers from USA or other countries well worth it.

Only problem is packaging.

The box needs extra padding for long trip.

I sent a m90 from USA to France and used 4" bubble wrap and another 4-5" of peanut foam.

I don't do chargeback, unless it was damage and not as decribe and I would let you know first. Plus been a eBay member for a while with 100 percent feedback.

paypal I do not want to wait a long time, for good reason, and the risk that this money is posted back, there are certainly other alternatives to xoom.com

i think the problem with james pierce,he is'nt really a seller,he is more of a buyer,i dont think he has the seller experience like alot of people have..so he is prone to making mistakes, also, because he has paid so much for his boxes in the past,i think he tries to ask alot so he does'nt take a massive hit and lose lots of cash, but i suppose thats his own fault for going crazy on ebay back then..

regarding the M50 sale,i think that he has that many radio's,maybe he forgets the condition of each box, forgets what repairs they've had,or any mods they had..still i think he should have compensated the buyer for that sale,it was a shambles of a sale..he was a selfish not taking any responsibility for that,it was smashed real bad..

Regarding the TPR950 sale, there is NO WAY i would buy a box and not use paypal,No Buyer Protection what so ever..lots of messing about going to the bank and transfering the money, then being at the mercy of a seller you dont know, too risky for me !!

I do want that box as don't get them in the USA and do find them in the UK, but people won't ship here. But won't do anything but Paypal on eBay for the reason above. Look at my feedback 100 percent a old seller/buyer. Sold items and bought high priced items with no issue from overseas "retropcdos" same as youtube.

reli - 2012-04-06 20:55

I live in the US, and have purchased several boxes from Germany using simple bank transfers.  Am I protected, no, but I really don't care.  Sometimes you have to take some risks if you want rewards.  Same as investing in the stock market or any other so-called "risky" activity.

retrodos - 2012-04-06 21:47

Going to end up bidding on it, would have been easier using Paypal. But no different then senting cashier check to some guy on youtube, and hope to get the item. Been lucky so far and well worth the risk for some of the finds.

yes I also see that I have sent my software and it is always good and always good to come never there or difficulties they had broken with the buyer any time I want to not because of the paypal buyer protection but because I have very bad things I heard about this possibility numerous

so for me even looking over the instructions I get the money I also and not only have to wait 4-5 weeks when I get it at all with paypal

Guys, you should listen to this if there's nothing on TV tonight.

He doth protest too much me thinks.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...x=6&feature=plcp

James asks the question, "I wished I could be re-allowed to this website to be allowed to properly defend myself"

James, you continue to choose to ignore the facts.

And James, you are a seller, do you want me to list 20 YouTube links to items you're selling?

Oh boy, I'm really struggling here

isolator42 - 2012-04-12 10:38

Cris,

Singling you out for critisism is not a good move from James.

You do a good job here, period.

I've been here for years & you've not collected a single enemy that I know of.

In his YouTube post, his referal to the JVC transaction gone bad is missing much important detail.

...& most important of all, if even now, he did the right thing on that transaction, things would start to go his way again.

I can't say that everyone in the s2g & boomboxery communities would then start to trust him again, but it would be the right thing to do.

anyway, the problem is with James & the ball remains in his court.

This changes NOTHING.

...IMHO, of course

retrodos - 2012-04-12 10:43

He did a video for everyone for pretty much anyone who commented in this thread. Nothing wrong with defending yourseft, but all he had to do is resolve the issue and not had let it become a bigger issue. He claims he didn't refund due to he took the box apart, He only did that after he notice the tweeter was loose to fix it and then notice the blue speakers were fake, he was willing to accept a partial refund which was fair for the condition of the box, it costs more money to ship it back for refund rather then keep it and restore it and he refused to give it to him?

mrupscale1 - 2012-04-12 11:10

I have looked at James videos of all of the units he has and its crazy. There is no turning back from bad deals. I have learned to ask as many questions as possible and post just as many answers. With new sellers its a learning process but he is far from new to this. As a seller buyers can be crazy. They want something for basically nothing so try to cover yourself because a good sale last for the moment but a bad one will haunt you!!!

deliverance - 2012-04-12 11:12

cant belive all this is still going on , bottom line is james shafts people and acts like a special needs window licker how can he even try to justify the fact he robs people its nonsense , the blame is all his own doing using cris and bm as scape goats is low as it gets .  grow up james act like a man not a ponce

claret.badger - 2012-04-12 11:42

I like goats

that is all

jasin.dollin - 2012-04-12 17:26

Wow, not cool at all.

radio.raheem - 2012-04-12 18:43

Ok...i have just watched some videos by decent man for you....speaking from my past about how people lied about me on boomboxery,,,,i think james SHOULD be allowed back on here to deffend himself....although JAMES i will say this....you should have just given a reafund on that jvc boombox and none of this would have been an issue.....you were given PLENTY of TIME to make things wright......but i know this... sh1t has happened to me so i think you should be ALLOWED to diffend yourself.....but i think you need to speak THE TRUTH and not ignore the facts that are  PLAINE to see for ALL

Last of all you need to stop criticising other peoples collections james....such as beaniemans....if you have nothing good to say...why bother

mrupscale1 - 2012-04-12 19:33

RR i have had sellers and buyers lie that either try to get a refund or try to keep you from getting one. Crazy thing is after you get bad feedback customers try to use that against you. I have had 2 bad experences and even though i gave refunds i also followed ebay and paypals protocall. This was not good because it delayed the process since i have to protect my interest too. Luckily for the other parties i understand that people get angry because of the time delay and say things that in other situations they wouldnt say. I think mabe James took what other parties said to heart and said "Fugg Em" and didnt give a refund for that reason. I think he should give the refund if only to leave a positive feeling with that one buyer. The positive energy would be good for him.

docs - 2012-04-13 04:26

No thanks to him coming back, he offers nothing to this community.

metad - 2012-04-13 06:14

James has invented a new way to communicate LOL

---

Threads like this really shows who is who.

He is banned, he is gone, maybe he is bad, but why to speak unpleasant things about him behind his back ?
Why didn't you tell all of this, to his face, when he was on here ?
Or maybe you called it - tolerance, then where is you tolerance now ?

I'm pretty sure there is a simple way to warn potential buyers - to avoid this seller, just to warn, but without this massacre.

isolator42 - 2012-04-13 06:55

You have a point, metad.

Some posts on this threat are venting a bit OTT.

However, this entire topic wasn't started until after James was given weeks to put things right.

All these posts are viewable by everyone; members & non-members.

James has just got no right of reply on s2g... having previously been given several chances, both here & on Boomboxery.
