just thought id'e share my little swap with you guys that i did with andyboombox aka andy v.

my missus drove me over to he's house yesterday and we swapped boxes, he got my m80 and i got he's sanyo m9990.

so it came as a surprise when he said hang on a minute i have something as a gift for you he also threw in a white sharp qt89, a jvc pc 150, and a hitachi 7011, and an LL cool j cd album.

it was great driving home in the hot sun pumping out LL,S my radio

not only did he throw in these boxes and cd for free but he also insisted on paying the travel cost

i just want to say what a great guy andy is and it was great to catch up my old mate as always.

don't hesitate to do a deal with andy if you get the chance.

but him and pete (oldskoolcollectables) had me right over of £85 on the marantz boombox,that was absolutely fukked and they must of knew it before they even sent it,rotted speaker surrounds,bodged ariel,sevearly corroded rusty battery compartment,he told me the motor spun but just needed a belt,but the whole board was rotted from acid leakage,i'm telling you,its was a total shed,he got it from the tip,it should have stayed there !! its where it belonged !!

and to top it off they tried to accuse me of trying to rip them off,so after over a month of them blaming eachother,umpteen excuses,and finally ignoring me,i gathered that it was clear i was'nt gonna get a refund,just to prove that it really was a piece of crap,i smashed it up with a hammer and sent pictures to them..anyhow,i dont care which one of them was guilty and who was innocent,that was'nt my problem,i was sold a total shit heap of a stereo,i just wanted a refund,i deserved at least that,but i got zilch back and i ended up with a pile of rust and crap and no money..

Anyhow,its still effects me,i get wound up just thinking about it,so before i get all bitter and annoyed i will shut up now..

iv'e never had a bad experience with him in all the times iv'e dealt with him.

andy has been on here since, it was through here i hooked up with him just the other day.

ok guys,lets get this over with shall we?i dont want to dwell on the whole beanie man/marantz issue as its not fair on him-heres the explanation,as briefly as poss.i bought the marantz off of a guy who does house clearances for ten pounds.i held onto it for a while-i knew the radio worked but the cassette didnt as one front button was jammed for starters-and yes,i suspected the speakers as you will notice from a post i made here at the time.i never did an internal exam as im not in the habit of ripping open boxes when i get them just to inspect them.after a while and near christmas i was short of cash to buy my little one a christmas present-so pete gave me ten pounds for it (what i paid) so i at least had that to buy a christmas present.it then was put on the bay where it sold for what it sold for.I NEVER SAW ANY OF THE MONEY FROM THE EBAY SALE.IT WAS SOLD ON FOR TEN POUNDS AND THAT IS ALL I RECEIVED FROM THE SALE.I am not a con artist,nor a bastard,or any other explicit words ive since been called on here.i have dealt with many people on here successfully in the near past,including spending nearly £800 with tim,as per our visit to wales to see him (see old posts).beanie man i am sorry for your financial loss,but i have never had your money.i have figured it best not to post on here recently due to this upset and i have had other family issues going on that mean more to me than boomboxes.i cant say any more than that.

now, as for my trade with lav loo the other day i will just say this-az is pure gold.theres nothing he woulnt do for anybody and as such is top flight.the jvc is a wonder,one of the best units i have ever had the pleasure of owning-and im glad your happy with me mate,and im glad your happy with the goods.i feel this is it for now for me as family issues continue and i am rather pre occupied with them.but thanks az,alias mr lav loo-deal with him anytime,and with confidence-the original gentleman of s2g!

obviously i was annoyed because i lost £85,i got totally conned and it still hurts when i think about it..but if you say your innocent i beleve you..no worries,i really cant be bothered going on about it because its never going to bring my £85 back,no matter how much i argue about it..
