242424musicman won a bid on a sanyo m9998k i was selling and here is what he messaged me after listing ended.

Just after I put my only bid in I realized that there were some other things that I needed to do and this was not the right time for this. There was only about 8 hrs left in the auction so canceling the bid was not really an option. As you know, you need to do this 12 hours before an auction ends. Check my score if you care to at this site. You will be able to see that I usually don't let this kind of thing happen. Just figured that someone would almost certainly outbid me with this at the last minute. I was only a bid or two away from being outbid. Thank You for your understanding with this.

He could have contacted me when he so called bid prematurely. I will have to give him a negative feedback so others will see he does these type of things.

You can't leave a buyer negative, or false positive, eBay will just remove the comment. But would leave a non payment strike, or work out a deal and get the cost of relisting fees and not having the item up for sale for a while and make him pay something, also make sure you get positive feedback first before canceling transaction, so if he decides to neg you, you have a way to remove it and can leave a non payment strike.

If you sent a request to cancel tranaction and he deny it, he can leave a negative and eBay will do nothing about it, even if he doesn't pay, don't do anything till you get positive and payment first, then sent request to cancel transaction.
