Docs is top!

michiel - 2013-08-20 04:55

Hi Guys, yesterday my latest JVC arrived in a package of 20kg!! Its the one docs had for sale some weeks ago. It all went super smooth and the radio is awesome! He held it for a couple of weeks at his place, because I wasn't at home. So that's why it took so long for me to report about it

You can really say this guy is a pro in fixing stuff! The tape deck works like it just left the factory. Not only the outside of the radio is tops, from the inside its like nobody ever touched it! Great! I also got his Sharp GF-525. Same story! A very good and perfectly working radio! If he ever is going to sell some of his radios! Just get it!

Here some pics

Hi Michiel,

The box looks great.

Where did you get the strap from? I have some Crown boxes that are crying out for nice black straps! Point me in the right direction if you can.

Thanks,

Nick

Totally agree with Michiel, Docs is a top seller and you can be sure that anything you get from him will be in tip top condition!

PS. Very nice strap as Nick pointed out!

Hi Nick, got the strap from Blu_Fuz from the states. He is a member here and has all kind of straps. It's a lovely piece and specially made with clips to fit JVC's. think he has more model though.

For your Crown you need a strap twice as wide as the jvc one. I got a Crown 980 with original belt. But if the belt was missing I would try to use a car safety belt. It's black and has the same width.

That is a good idea thanks, I have lots of seat belt webbing around at work. Any ideas for the adjuster bits and how to attach it? Surely not 'just thread it through the hoops and stitch it together'?

By the way; apologies for the hijack!

Dave is a true gentleman and a pleasure to deal with.

Oops.

The adjusters are just a metal piece of chrome plate with two windows in it. They are located on both sides of the strap. Think you will find the same kind of adjuster on a 4-point rally type safety belt. Only a bit sturdier and havier than the original Crown design.

Thanks Lav! And thanks for showing me that video a while back! Makes the box even cooler!
