Hello and a happy new year. Does anyone know about the "Diana Walkman"? This was a one-of-a-kind gift box Walkman set (two WM-R2 in silver and black) presented to Princess Diana in the early 80's. She was touring a factory or something. I came accross a photo of the set on-line recently but forgot to bookmark the site. It would be great to receive more info. about this rare set.
Thank you.
I have never heard or seen any information about this. Certainly would be of very high rarity and value as this model is very strong collectible and in good condition harder to find these days. Celebrity owned Walkmans add greatly to value and considering there are few people more famous than Princess Diana.
This may be a mystery for Cris, Paul or Renalto to solve. But kudos to anyone who has a picture of that elusive Diana Walkman. It would also be cool to get a hold of the Walkman that Warhol used.
gosh - let me dig it out, i do have pics somewhere !!!
I have searched long time.
Here the result:
Here the LINK to Internet site.
Enjoy it!

I've never seen the R2 bundled with the MDR-3 before. Anyone?
They are MDR-4's which came with the WM-R2 very similar to the MDR-4L1's from the WM-3, though usually only in black even with the silver R2.
I've decided to buy an S9 sometime in the future, but I can't help but wonder how it'll perform with the JVC FX-500. Seeing how it's sound signature is known to be analytical/cold, I don't know what to expect when it'll be paired with something warm and bassy. Anyone with experience with the synergy?
