Group "WARNING". The guy selling this DC2 is full of attitude and refuses to directly answer questions.. read the questions he allowed posted in auction then here is my question to him and his evasive , insulting reply. When someone will not directly answer a well worded question then you can BET the guy is hiding something. This player I BET surely is clicking and people are being uninformed buyers bidding it already past its value with risk of getting a player in another year or two or shorter if they play it much the gear will split worse and jam or eat tapes.... .. JUST MY OPINION for what its worth. ALSO NOTE JACKASS wont post a ACTUAL photo of item... even when asked....
Q: hello, could you pls send me some photos by email,my email address is:lahealmt@gmail.com Thanks.
A: I,m afraid not. It looks just like the picture shown in the listing! Thanks for your interest and I must remind you I'm not all that keen (as stated in the listing) about shipping internationally. Vidbuffls
READ AUCTION FIRST AND QUESTIONS AT END OF AUCTION THEN READ MY QUESTION AND HIS REPLY EBAY DC2 Buyer BEWARE MY QUESTION
Hello, This model has a center metal gear with a plastic ring. Over time ( not use related) this plastic gear cracks and as more time passes the crack gets larger until it skips a tooth causing failure to play a tape. Nearly ALL DC2's have problem.
I know you were asked about clicking but the value is highly dependent on center gear condition.
They will work and sound near perfect for a while even with cracked gear. NOTE: yes this player will make some low mechanical sounds playing BUT if there is a slow steady clicking or clacking mechanical noise that comes from player itself ( NOT heard in Headphones). This clicking begins as slightly heard and as gear cracks more the loudness of audible clicking becomes very easily noticeable several feet away. Please put ear to machine tell us if slow steady clicking is heard. IT is EASY to distinguish from normal mechanical sound of player.
Our thanks as buyers on Ebay.
PS I have HUNDREDS of walkmans including this model. I am qualified.
Vidbuffls reply
Makes no more noise than any other model of this vintage. If you have hundreds and qualify, then don't take the risk and DON't bid on the item.
All I can say is it plays tapes fine.

TAKE NOTE HE WOULD NOT POST MY QUESTION OR HIS REPLY ON THE AUCTION !!!
This guy sounds like a runner up for Mediterano....Like seller in Germany this guy states clearly in auction the following:
Sale is final and there are no returns and no refunds -- so please bid accordingly.
No good ebay seller makes this sweeping total denial of return or refund and a buyer should stay away from sellers stating such.
90% of everything I've bought on Ebay has problems they conveniently neglected to mention.
For some reason they seem to believe it's ok to conceal the existance of problems until a bidder ASKS if there are problems. For instance they feel that unless a bidder ASKS if there is static in the controls, they don't have to SAY there's static in the controls. In my opinion that's just as unethical as lying.
i think i have possibly figured out these people and what makes them TICK..they only see what they want to see and only here what they want to here. the are truly like a horse with blinders. i don't know the psychological term is for it but i bet it is some type of character flaw. there isn't just a few of them on ebay but you see them in the everyday world. i guess they make all kinds and this is one of those unique ones. a perfect example is good old meditarano or what ever name he uses. go back and read his pile of baloney he put forth a few weeks ago.
