Mow here's something interesting. I acquired this today from an Op shop for 2 dollars Aust in mint condition. I have no idea who is the maker but has a K Mart logo. Mono with built in speaker as well as phones Model nimber is CPT-410. Anyone know this or anything about it?

Certainly has me stumped??? ? Surely it is a very early 80's unit. Have you verified it Stereo , would assume the twin mic openings on side indicate it is.

hi john..that looks like the sears,roebuck i had that got hot and melted the bottom 1/3 of the plastic around the battery box. mine was part metal and part plastic. i think it even had the tape counter. i think it was made in korea. either agent orange or auto reverser said the build quality was bad and that is why it overheated. the battery wire went streight to the PCB which isn't the best way and safest to power it up. i would be careful with it as even the 3 batteries let out a large amount of heat. i never thought it could happen but it's best to be safe than sorry.
