I don’t know if any of you guys read Hi-Fi magazines? In the November 2010 issue of Hi-Fi News & Record Reviews, they have a nice 4-page article on the Sony Walkman Pro.
For the Walkman fans among us it worth a read, it starts on page 116.
Could someone scan the pages and put a link here for us to read it?
Not sure how to link here but if you PM me with your e-mail address i'll e-mail it to you.
Thank you for providing that great article.

Thanks! It's great to have this history to go along with my WM-D6C.

The WM-D6C is fantastic. Since I use it I do not feel the need of any recorder. It 'the only one who can satisfy my desire for accuracy. It is also possible to improve a lot. But beware, there have been four series of D6C. the best are those of the second series, the worst are those of the fourth and final series. I can say this because I got them all.
How many WM-D6 series were there? Did they continue it even after the D6C came out or did it go away after that? I don't have a D6C but I have two D6's. They both also sound great.

I do not know how serie we were the d6. I have one only, but I do not think they were more products with the release of D6C. The D6C has more than the shapeless head , Dolby C, the input line and the attenuator 20 db.

Sorry 19lexicon78 , I'm very busy lately and just now I read your message. Best D6C are around the number 30000. As soon as I checked I'll be more specific.
i have just bought a d6c, the other one had a blown up motor. it has serial no 64959
Thanks for sharing this article. My very first WM-D6 will arrive soon and it's interesting to read about WM-D6 / WM-D6C history...
