AO here is the Infinity RS-002
Daves is different the maker that did NOT use Dolby. The top of the Infinity and the AKAI PM-01 are identical to Daves Retro post ,its a Cybernet mini concert
Dave I posted earlier you may have missed it
your retro one is the Cybernet Mini Concert

Yes John you got it

AO I concur with you totally.. actually I knew the Cybernet and the Infinity shared chassis/body but never realized the AKAI PM-01 ( my VERY FIRST WALKMAN THAT STARTED ME COLLECTING)
IS also same as other two.. Great observation.
John your last one I have this one mines a port-a-sound new and boxed.

WOOHOO CARNAC is feeling HAPPY TODAY. Excellent mystery choices Dave.
No hiding boys, we've forgot this monster...

WOWZERS... THE UK STRIKES IT CLOSE...Will call it you made the identity BUT... Guess Mfg. of mine ?
YES ONE I POSTED IS SAME CHASSIS AND EXTERIOR IT APPEARS... but play this out a little longer as one I posted I believe is the maker of chassis. At the very least in 80/81 this company was HUGE world wide... but I dont think they made but this one model ?
John I need more time on yours and Cris yours looks so familiar it will come to me I'm sure.
This next monstrosity no not the WM-2 that's just for scale, I bought this purely because of it's size.
@agent
The monster looks familiar. I am going to start by saying it's a Sony.
The left and right volume controls are amazing. I have never seen that on a Walkman before.

Interesting guessing. In fact, it's not a Sony & the left and right volume controls are the best giveaway to it's make.

CARNAC will venture a partial guess.. I am fairly certain it is a Philips SKYMASTER model but the model number eludes my powerful TURBAN today. VERY POWERFUL AMPLIFIER these early Philips had.. I have the D6611 my GAWD it can melt headphones at #7 volume.
Carnac must retire for the day thus I leave to the other masters of the world to make quick identity and add new mystery walkman. THIS IS MOST FUN I EVER HAD ON THIS FORUM.
Sincerely
CARNAC THE MAGNIFICENT "JohnEdward"

Cris I have not forgot about your "MONSTER". THE GREAT Carnac is perplexed... you olde dog you... my TURBAN IS
and brain inside all foggy on this one. I want to say a Sony WA or TC series but its not the 100 or 55. Also must say the controls dont have the Sony look to them so then I sway toward some obscure Panasonic retro beast you have pulled from the hidden deathly hallows of unknown WALKMANERY.... Bravo Carnac has finally been stumped.
CURSES !!!
It's a Toshiba??

I'm sure it is a Phillips but don't know model number
How about this one
The monster is a Sanyo M-G70.
@Coolcol
That one looks like an Aiwa. I will have to think a little more.

@Coolcol
Yours is a Sony TCM-7
Wow, the monster is indeed a Sanyo M-G70
Anoyingly I have a TCM-7

That is correct as got this with job lot.
OK, you guys all had a breather now?
KEEP GOING
Well, I've played my card, just waiting for a reply...
Though, I reckon these two are now running on empty.
Cris yours looks like an Aiwa TP-17 to me?
Ok how about these 2 the first one should be easy 2nd one maybe not.
I know the first one but is the 2nd a micro?
No it uses standard cassettes and was rather expensive in 1983, so probably not many about.
Next up we have yet another weird recording unit with internal speaker.

OK AO.... CARNAC the MAGNIFICENT will definitely go the brave route since no one for days has tried even to guess this recorder with speaker. I am Definitely going to go that it is a AIWA... sorry not enough info to add the model number. Oddly I believe the CMT function wording was used on Sony equipment not just cassette too. If not Aiwa then Sony. Well there you have it. Carnac's best "GUESS"...
I hate guessing oh well.

John I think I already got that one?
Oh wow, it's a TCS-370, yeah they are rare. Does yours work as I have one with a smashed mic which cosmetically is beyond it. You can have it if your needs parts. Very similar to the TCM-7.
Sorry John, Dave got that one.
I guess it's time to go into the dungeon of woe for some real stinkers.
Well done, yes my TCS-370 works really well love the logic controls, I was very lucky with this one it came as new and boxed even had the original purchase receipt.
Ok try this
This is what I never got with Sony, look at that TCS-370, simply stunning but they didn't make many of them or extend the form factor across to any other units.
Oh yeah, I like that one. I can tell you what it isn't but I leave it for Carnac.
Here's my offering for today...
I agree but, this is not a small machine, but if you took away the built in speaker the recording function and used smaller motors for the logic and transport it could been quite small.

I'm sure that is a Sanyo but model don't know
