Over the last 2 years, even though I still search, the number of "nice" walkmans that I see on eBay and other sites are waaaaaaaay down.

Of course, it depends on what you consider "nice". Maybe I'm talking more rare than I am nice, although most of the time, those seem to go together. I used to see a number of Sony WM-800 double-decks on eBay, or cool Aiwas, or the Toshiba KT-AS10. But I almost never see the JVC walkmans anymore (and I used to have a few). Makes me really sad that ever sold some of them.

I always knew there would be a time when either people started hoarding them, or there just were a very limited number of them out there in nice shape. Seems that they are becoming very rare indeed.

So...enlighten me....have you seen some cool walkmans lately anywhere???

I have some nice ones I need to sell, got a couple of minty JVC's too.

I saw a Sony WM-800 a little while back on ebay. The price was high though, and it wasn't working. There seems to be a flood of cheap plastic models out there, and when something nice does come up the price is usually through the roof. Quality is getting harder to find, but the search continues.

Oh , I was thinking the holidays did last 2 months or so in longbreadland!

There's a Sony WM-DD9 on ebay right now, but the price is steep. Real nice Walkman, though.

I've haven't been finding or seeing as much electronic stuff in the thrifts the last few months. I used to see lots of bottom of the line players and even those are drying up. I kinda thought I was one of very few going after the Walkmans up here...
