One of the thrift stores I go to had a Samsung Mymy for sale today. Neat thing - metal, auto reverse, and two tiny speakers in back. Never seen one like it before and almost picked it up. I just wasn't sure if I should have or not because the battery cover was gone, and it looked like it had some battery leakage earlier in life. The batteries that were in it seemed dead so I couldn't test it for sure.

Would you have spent the $6.99 they wanted for this little guy?

I have one Rick. Does your look like mine. Mine is a Unitech,but it is probably similar. You probably should have picked it up as they are pretty rare.

Yep, that's exactly it. Except for the brand badge, of course. I'll try to hit that thrift before work on Sunday afternoon and see if it's a) still there; and b) half price. Sunday's the day they change the color of the half-off price stickers.

Nope. Not my Mymy. Someone else got it. I couldn't stand the suspense so I went today to find it gone.

I take some comfort in knowing that it might not have worked because I'm a stickler for buying working goods. Besides, I did get a Sony MZ-E40 MD Walkman on Thursday. Not nearly as rare, but practically mint! If I had the need or the room, I could have ended up with some real nice speakers, but I'll have to save 'em for someone else.

Then again, there's always next weekend....

I've did that same thing before myself and I've learned is if you see something you like again or somebody else would like.You should probably pick it up if you have the extra $$$$
Then if you decide you don't want it after all,you could offer it to someone here to the other members on this site. I've bought and sold lots of cool walkmans and boomboxes to other members here.

another old saying "he who hesitates is lost". i learned my lesson on that the hard way. i'll never make that mistake again.
