It is on it's way. I am very excited to see it in person. I am intersted to hear any impressions anyone might have of this unit. As far as JVC walks go, how does this one rate on the desirability scale?
I have one,its a well built heavy sucker. I think it sounds very nice, probably not the best I've heard but nice. It takes 4 AA batteries too and it's made from aluminum. I'm sure you will like it.
On a different note I see you won the NIB Jvc PC-RM100. Very nice.......
I would hardly call what I did "winning"
Here are some shots of my CQ-1K...
That walkman is like new!!
Lovely!
* have to get me one also *
I was thinking, and suddenly I did know it!,
I think your walkman would be more happy here with
my other walkmans!!
My JVC will be lonely here with my Toshiba. But it will have some PC-RM100 brothers and sisters to play with. Except most of them are broke. Maybe we could set up a play-date for them.
Still I think your walkman would be more happy here as
there
If it was not a JVC I would. I do have a special surprise for you Walkgirl. I have some scans for you.
Where are the scans?
These are great little units. Almost the ultimate iconic walkman. If you ever get the chance you have to compare it with the Aiwa of the same period, strikingly similar.
The PC-100 mini boombox uses this same unit but not identical as it needs the contacts at the bottom of the unit.
Spud, I'm sorry about the lack of correspondance regarding the pc-100. it will happen.
Love the inner lining on that model!
Yes, got myself one of those beauties too, and pretty crisp, to boot! The only catch is my one came in many pieces! Turns out a toggle switch is missing, I've just put a post up in tech talk, a scan from a technical guide would hit the spot.
