What we have here is a very standard early 90s unit, polished up & slapped in a 'presentation' box. Sony did this a lot to celebrate their 1979 invention in an attempt to shift focus from the fact that their products were now inferior.

I say let the rich buy the stuff intended for the rich so us collectors can focus on the true gems.
