This is a pic of a 'personal cassette player' my father brought back from hong kong (to the uk) in 1983/84.

It wasnt a well known brand (Sony, AIWA etc) - it *might* have been unisef, i only think this because i have looked through countless images trying to identify it and unisef looks like a contender.

The outer case was plastic. it didnt record.  it might have had a riadio - not really sure.

you cant see the bottom portion below the cassette door - theres another section under the door about the same size as the bit above the door - its a chunky walkman.
