I recently announced that my old Sony M-1pd micro cassette recorder had died on me, i'm very happy to reveal to all that its up an running. After many hours of pondering what could be wrong with it, so how did i fix it (i hear you ask). Had to mutilate one of my older walkmans by removing the motor speed control circuit, wasn't sure if it would work but it did. Now one of my sony wm-7 s has stopped working, have no idea as to what the problem is.
