Yeah, a little bit. The WM-25 was a slightly face-lifted version of the WM-24 from the previous year & the WM-24 was a restyled version of the famous WM-22 of the year before plus the inclusion of the all-important Dolby B noise reduction. The WM-22 was Sony's 1984 introduction to the 'budget' market & retailed at £35 which was pretty incredible considering you couldn't really buy a decent walkman for less than £50 up till then. These units are not to be underestimated, prices were low due to plastic construction and basic features but the motors, heads and circuits were as good as any.
Your WM-25 is actually quite rare in that they don't come up very often, the WM-22 & WM-24 are much more common.
