i tried MD in 1996 ... and i didn`t like it and sold it again ... and, well, sony is having loss since years. they´ve something to do...

Have to agree.....tried md in about 96 and hated the poor quality. so i never bought one

another format gone and the price second hand of these is for nothing i have bought several complete boxed top end mdp for very fair money .

wow,..i didnt know they were still in production....i was a big fan of the MD...they had some cool players and rack mount units....i had one that you can do so much with the md ....still got so many pre-recorded disks...im sure the MD will be a highly collectible one day...

It's a shame. I had fond memories of it. I have a sharp laying around at my parents... but they went digital eventually

i don't find MD bad quality at all
especially PCM - which is lossless
I passed on MD first time around as I didn't understand the format - I thought it was "just" a small CD
It's more than that
It's far superior to MP3
And you can share discs
NH1 and RH1 are both WORTH having in your collection
