Anyone noticed the STUPID rise in price of the blank 1gb HIMD discs on eBay recently?

Before I came out to the USA it was not uncommon to see new sealed packs of 3 for a tenner or 5 for 20 quid on Amazon OR eBay

NOW i am seeing them go for 100 dollars for 4  USED

And the price of the NH1 and especially the RH1 has gone stratospheric

I just scored a M200 (basically an RH1 with a microphone) for cheap - and I can't be happier with these dinky little things - although feeling cheaper than the NH1 (not made in Japan may be a reason - but I guess it also isn't made from magnesium)

I use an NH1 on the regular as my MAIN source for digital music on the move - and i'd like to make more recordings in PCM (lossless mode) - but with the scarcity of discs and the sily price hike in 12 months - I guess I'm gonna have to stick to SP mode

It might have something to do with the fact that Sony stopped producing MiniDisc players this month.

the RH1 and NH1 have not been for sale for ages
and the media should technically still be available - but no one carries it

that's worth getting just to keep the disc and flip the player
i'm after many discs not just one - but thanks a thousand bro

just got 110 normal minidiscs for 50 quid on ebay -someone elses collection

claret i got about 100 mini-discs as well that im gonna get rid of...if your interested in them let me know....before i list them...
