Probably not truly worth this much for an EX20, but its sale ultimately benefits a charity, so perhaps the buyer feels the high price would in part be a donation.

A noble cause and a "justifiable price" in my opinion. Good for the hospice
and very nice of the seller.

Still, it's very strange. But, if true, indeed a good cause.
The WM-EX20 es definitely a gem, but the real value normally doesn't go higher than 250 euros. I think I never saw one going higher, except this one.
