just bought a cheapy player from ebay as a beater

and long story short - I put one of the discs the seller supplied into the unit - now the unit will not physically eject the disc

the disc looked a little shonky when I put it in - so I think maybe it is physically stuck - ie it doesn't present itself properly when you open the device

the unit is a SONY RZ M70 (don't ask)

anyway - if i can't get it out -any tips on how to fish it out without getting a crowbar out?

do I have a case for asking for  a refund - seeing as both player and disc are now as useful as a bookend?

Have you tried gently banging the unit against the palm of your hand whilst attempting to eject the disc? Sounds mad I know but it might afford enough movement to initiate disc movement...

As for the potential refund, because you used the disc the seller supplied you may have a case. I'd suggest making sure you mention this was the only disc you tried (meaning your discs cannot be blamed, assuming that's what happened!)

nick....i had a similar issue with the sony mz-1......ended up taking it apart to get it out..............nightmare

I tried it in the car at the post office after I picked it up
