Do you collect other things?

Collecting walkmans is great. I love tapes and walkmans and almost anything related to them. John Lydle has also posted about this some time ago.
But, aside from collecting them I like to collect also rare accesories, like the dbx portable decoder:
Also, apart from 'standard' walkmans, I like other type of walkmans, like DCC (Digital Compact Cassette, a very unsucessful standard for digital tapes). I have only this one:
And DAT (only one):
As well as decks. I have just a few ones, but they are good ones, like this SONY K909ES:
Boomboxes are also cool, (not as much as walkmans ;-)   and I have just four. This one is my best one, the rare AIWA Strasser SR8, that even has Dolby C:
I have also two turntables, like this rare Sound Burger:
Minidisc are also cool, like the first one:
and here you see it together with one of the best sounding ones:
And the last musical gadget I collect is MP3. But only very important models... milestones almost. Like this Rio PMP-300, almost the first comercially available MP3 player:
Here you see the first three models by Rio company:
And here ends my musical gadgets.
But apart from them, there are also many other cool vintage gadgets out there, like calculators.
Here it is the very first (and very rare) programmable calculator that can isolate variables in equations, the HP-28C:
The antecessor of the iPad, the old Apple Newton:
I also love vintage, sophisticated watches, like thisone with a game, the CASIO GM-20:
The one that perfectly fits in 'Inspector gadget' wrist ;-). Outside is a standard watch
but when you open it...
or one of the most advanced watches in the early 90's, with touch screen:
one of the most freakies, this one that features some sort of primitive 'SMS' wireless messaging system between watches, using IR. You can also play a fight game with the other person!
And the very first GPS watch:
Also, pocket TVs are very cool, like this SONY Watchman:
or this rare Sharp TV10, a combo walkman-TV!
Or this one, fitted in a watch!:
Do you remember? Yeah, 'Octopussy' from 007
Actually the tuner goes in your pocket, not embedded in the watch:
And, finally, mobile phones, like this very old brick (beside my iphone 4, so you can compare the actual size):
or very rare models, like this colurful Motorola Startac:
The Nokia 9000i, the very first smartphone:
Do you remember? Yeah, the same from The Saint:
And that's all!
So what do you collect guys apart from walkmans and boomboxes?

Besides collecting a few cassettes and my old (1966 IMPALA SS) I collect mostly dust.

I'm not really a 'collector'...before boomboxes I'd never collected anything...I've added a few handheld games machines since starting with boomboxes though...got an original Nintendo Gameboy and a load of games, a Grandstand Astro Wars and Scramble, even got an Atari 2600. But I'm not a gaming nut despite the kids having a Wii, a PS3 and an Xbox 360 in the house, I just like ocasionally zapping a few aliens whilst listening to my boomboxes!

I seem to collect Hi-Fi, and often just can't help it. If it's shiny, desirable and at the right price (that is a fraction of what it was new) I usually grab it. Hugo, you have some very fine items there. A portable dbx decoder? Who knew?

I'm guilty of collecting aviation related crap.
I love Flight Simulator and all of it's related hardware and software.....my wife doesn't but I do
My computer desk looks light the cockpit of a Boeing with all of my Saitek controls and panels
I won't even discuss my airplane models........................

Collecting is a big word. I get things to play with, not to put in a vitrine. But I like Atari Lynx stuff. Missing only two games to have it complete... Tamiya vintage rc cars... Have my share of original working vintage grails like Sand Scorchers, Rough Riders, Opel Asconas, Wild Willy, Super Champ, etc... Texas Instruments calculators, the TI-XX types and CBL sensors to freak out with maths if I'm really bored lol. And have a lot of Panasonic Toughbook laptops, because they are just über cool to own... In general all is old and regarded obsolete by most...

Oh, nice pictures!
Well, I do collect flashlights and audio tapes. I have around 100 tapes, most of which are extremely rare nowadays and some of which are more than 40 years old. All of them are in intact in their original packaging. It's fun because when I find a few I don't have, I usually trade them with friends that don't have one. None of these tapes are meant for recording because there are other newer and frankly, a lot better, tapes torecord on.

I used to collect swatch watches. I would wear 2 on each wrist. I'm getting a loomi scuba swatch just to wear again

I too like watches especially Seiko watches, I don't collect as such but I have had numerous brands over the years. Accurist, Citizen, Swatch, just to name a few. Here's a pic of my style of watch below.....

Naughty topic actually - it makes us confess to the boys & toys thing
I like picking up things that remind me of my childhood or things that other guys seem to covet So amongst the various this and that let me think of what comes to mind first (after walkmans that is...)
Pens like the Pilot Myu & Murex
The Ultra slim Mechanical 0.5mm pencils like the pilot birdie & Zebra T3
Matchbox/Corgi cars of the 1970s like the famous Batmobile collection

It is funny how people who collect walkman and boom boxes also like the same things. I also collect Vintage 80' Casio Watches, 80's hand held electroic game (epoch man) Minidisc players, and Audio equipment. I just bought an Aiwa AD-F770b Cassette deck. Have 4 AV receivers, JVC RX550, Kenwood KR-V107, I just love all the bells and whistles and lights they put into 80's high end audio units. Also just got a Pioneer GR-777 10 band graphic EQ with spectrum equalizer. And New Blank Cassettes like TDK MA-XG.

I buy used but A1 condition cassettes from charity shops. Some of them are in amazing condition. I even scored a sealed Depeche Mode tape - Songs Of Faith And Devotion... it had the DigaLog moniker and appeared to be a USA import. And here's a bit of weirdness - it's seemingly deliberately cut on the spine (dead stock?). A friend says he's seen similar before...
