I just received my 2 new family members today from eBay.  AIWA HS-T600. These are both new in the box with everything including the rechargeable batteries.  One box was pretty rough but I restored it best I could, some new plastic tonight and one will be comfortable on the self with my other boxed Walkman the other will be listed on eBay.

Ah that takes me back to 1988; buying my Aiwa HS-PX101 from one of those stores on the Tottenham Court Road (London, UK).

I threw the packaging in the bin right outside the store, put in 2 AAAs & a freshly recorded CrO2 TDK (Prince & Gary Numan, I think) ...I was in heaven. Still got the headphones on right now, 25 years later.

...if only I'd known to keep the box

Thanks guys I just love being the first to open a Walkman that is 30 years old.  It is like a time capsule. Now Demiwang is the proud owner of one of these beautiful new Aiwa walkman.  Like he needed anymore boxed walkman, HAHA.  I put a tape inside and some new batteries and the thing works too!
