One of the hardest unit to change the belt on, have to take apart the whole tranport relube all the parts replaced the caps on the PCB and change the belt, this unit now turn on and works like brand new now, no more wow & flutter, didn't even have to adjust the speed, and also fix the tuner control, just need to get a door, going to order one tru partsstore.
really nice piece of work there. looks kinda like the table next to me. i finished a wm-fx77 and a wm-fx777. they are working 100% better with unbroken belts. the hardest is the wm-af605. the belt is broken and it twists and turns too much to guess where it used to be. 2 out of 3 ain't bad when your shootin in the dark. they were ebay rejects i just got recently. 35.00 delivered from 2 different sellers for the 77's. it's nice to hear them playing and doing there thing. they were a whole lot easier than that aiwa you did.
