I just collected a WM-1 in the post, described by the seller as working perfectly. Long story short, it won't fast-wind or fast forward, and far more grim, won't emit audio in the left channel no matter how much I wiggle the headphone jacks. I assume it has a bad trace somewhere - grim diagnosis indeed - but was wondering if this by some chance happened to be a common fault for this model. Has anyone dealt with this issue on this model before? I like the player, and don't want to relegate it to a mere mantelpiece item!

Also, what's the name/contact of the board member fellow who restores portable cassette stereos? Since soldering irons are beyond me, I figure I'll need his contact as I get into this hobby, as expensive as repair work may be.
