Faulty Headphone Jack

Hi all,

I just got a Sanyo M6060, but the headphone jack is giving me problems. I've tried plugging in two different headphones and for both of them only the right channel works unless I put some pressure on the side of the input. I'm guessing everything's fine, but it's not making good contact.

Is this an easy fix? Or am I going to have to tear this thing open?

Sounds (pardon the pun) most likely a dry joint on the left channel where it connects to the PCB.

Rather than doing something awful right away, I'd like to get some idea of which joint I should be looking at. I tend to get things backwards with circuits... So I'm looking at the joint on the left (logical isn't it?), but it could very well be the one on the right or in the middle.

Here's a picture with the joints circled in green:

Thanks for the input.

You might be able to tell by wiggling the jack.
or you can re-solder all three joints
also check to see if the board is cracked
or the circuit pad has lifted.

This is not an unusual problem.
