Hi all-

Stumbled across this site & saw that I'm not the only one with an old walkman.

Got an old JVC CQ-F2K unit and realized the tape part doesn't work all that well. Doesn't always play (tape doesn't always move) and when it does I can barely hear it even on full. Tried cleaning the head, but no go. Must need more than that & maybe even some parts matching or the like.

Are there any good reputable repair places out there?

Well, I found a source for a service manual, assuming it gets to me. Now all I have to do is find a competent repairman.
