WM D3 manual needed.

konrill7 - 2009-02-08 02:25

After looking (browsing) the topics on the "Cog" problem I thought I tackle the problem too. All I need is a manual and hopefully someone has a scanned version for me. Please help. I have a WM-D3 and need to fix it. Does anyone have a manual out there?
Kind regards, Konrill

Wow! Do you by chance have a DD100 Boodo manual?

Cog repaired:
After dismanteling the wmd3 I had a good look at the problem and indeed, the cog had a crack.
I suppose the tension of the plastic cog around the metal wheel was too much.
I cracked the plastic cog in half and took it of the metal wheel. I then sanded the metal wheel down in diameter ( 1mm). I placed the cog back and it fitted wonderfull. With some help of loctite 496 superglue the cog is repaired. Thanks to the manual I had no problem putting the walkman back in each other again. Thanks again. Another fine adition to my collection.

that's the way to go. on my first attempt i messed up big time. the case on the black wm-f5 is now almost a retropod. i picked up a refurbished panasonic 2 GB mp3 player for 20 dollars. i think i could get 4 of those in the empty black case. that would be interesting. only i would know what it is. so i guess all is not lost plus i got alot of parts.
