I have a WM-F2 and worked on it for a while (new belt etc.).

Now he´s running except the tape speed is way too fast and I can´t regulate down it with the pot for the tape speed. The pot itself is working - but no chance to get the speed down to normal.

It could be the IC (cx-891) or something else. But before I unsolder I ask here if someone has a manual for this machine. Maybe someone has an idea...

Second problem is the hinged erase head which should come up in case of recording.

In my case I can only move the head manual to protect the tape from erasing. At the beginning I had no sound on the F2 until I figured out the erase head deletes everything... not very nice. If I move the head downwards it´s fine. The head stays there but I have no clue what mechanism moves the head...??

Any suggestions.
