Bought a Japanese Sony WM-F701C?

Fed up with only being able to hear a tiny fraction of the FM Band?

Power off your F701C.

Leave powered off for 2 minutes (or thereabouts)

Press and hold the 'T' and the '+' button and then...

Add power

Let go of the 'T' and the '+' button

Turn on the tuner, and FM will now start scaling from 87.50 to 108.00 MHz

Job done.

I have a Japan Sony with that problem.

The 'T' button is located on the front of the door. It is one of only two big round plastic buttons, the other being a 'B' button. It has a big 'T' embossed on it with white writing labelled confusingly as 'PRESET TUNE' and scrolls through the stored preset stations on the unit.
