Just change the capacitors and fixed the dc to dc converter on this d6, to realize it has a light thumping sound during playback, not in the audio and doesn't affect playback, just external noise, look at rubber and does look like someone left this in play mode. So need the rubber that goes to the capstan flywheel, could use a washer, but rather find a OEM replacement, if someone has a broken D6 or D6C not worth repairing, but still has a good rubber on the capstan, or the capstan itseft, will pay you decent for it.
