While waiting for Santa* to arrive early this year, I was gathering info about KT-AS10 I have in need of TLC (plays on both sides! One channel slightly bad though).

Found a lot of warnings about Toshibas falling apart, mechanisms "exploding", cogs flying, etc.

I am therefore reluctant to open it up without some belt replacement how-to or service manual.

Guess KT-4055 has same mechanism, just (cheaper) plastic housing.

Anyone able to help here?
