Greetings all. I have a Sony WM-W800 for sale on eBay at present. I have replaced both belts, and tape speed is perfect. The problem is with the head alignment on the recording side of the play, it appears to be out of alignment, and sounds slightly muffled. This model is basically two WM-10 back to back. Can anyone tell me how to access the head to adjust it?

I have discovered that the heads on this unit can be adjusted while a tape is playing. There is a small hole to the left of the head on top of the unit. Once play is pressed, a screw is visible through this hole. You can then adjust the head to the optimum sound whilst listening to the music. Simple really.
