It plays, but FF/REW doesn't work, help!

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a really nice conditioned WM-F100. While it plays well, the FF/REW function jams right after you engage either button.
Would this typically be a belt issue? Of do you know of other common problems that cause this type of thing to happen?
Thanks!

Unless you have any history regarding the unit in question i would change the belt, then at least you know for certain it's not a belt issue, because you have changed it. I have had walkman's with similar problems and in most cases it was the belt that was the problem.

Thanks for the insight. I have searched online, and it appears that Marrs communications has belts. Have you had any interaction with them? Their website is pretty low quality, so if you know of a different place to order, I would greatly appreciate your opinion.

Hi Cool Manchu, I'd suggest trying DocP here before going to Marrs. He is our resident belt expert and has a great many belts . I've ordered from him before and he is bang on with delivery and size. I can't recommend him enough. Try sending him a PM first.
Cheers!
