I recently got a used WM-F702. The walkman works fine all controls work on the remote. However on the player itself, the controls are going crazy. If I hit play, it rewinds and if I hit stop, it plays.

I'm guessing the controls on the player are busted. Is this something that is easily repaired/replaced?

it is likely the hold button more in info (in french but withn pictures)

try to find the sm to confirm the diagnostic with a look, at the shematic

If not avaible try to move several times the hold button

and also while pressing commands
