try to repair SONY WMD6C

hi
I am trying to restore a SONY WM D6 (sn 238913) (bought 30euros)
which seems to be 100% ok mechanically
but have simultaneaous serious issues for electronics:
- no batt level detect (always lower led on)
- most serious problem : the motor speed is 3x the normal speed
also the battery clip is no ok
could some one send me a good picture of it ?
if someone had encountered already the same king of problem , help would be appreciated !
I have an oscilloscope and the service manual
for example, I saw a proper square 34k7 on pin 3 of the ic701(osc pll)
but I have nothing on pin7 if ic601 (servo)
thanks

Hi jmespe, welscome to the group.

Definitely worth messing about with but sadly your speed issue is caused by a fried speed regulator cap, I recall this being caused by use of the inncorrect DC charger (D6 uses 6v rather than the standard 3v of most other units).  I know some members have succesfully managed to change this faulty part out but from what I understand it's not easy.
