Hi Guys,

I'm new to the board. I'm very happy to join such great board which deals with all aspects of stereos.i have been a collector of Walkmans 15 years ago. I have an issue with my DD9 which I recently purchased. The Walkman is in great physical shape, so there isn't single physical damage to it. Once I received it I used rechargeable gunstocks battery in it to test it out. The red batter indicator came out the it faded away gradually on both sides then shut down! I tried different battery same issue! I pressed the Walkman from bottom the battery indicator light came on visible then when I took my hand off it faded away and shut down!. Now it doesn't work at all! Can someone help me or can give me a contact of some expert Walkman repair personal in my area preferable? I live in Toronto Canada. Thank you.

Did you try normal AA battery?

Hi Michiel,

Yes I did try AA too both rechargeable and Alkaline too. Same problem.

Hmmm, it looks like something is wrong with the battery contacts. Maybe you can try cleaning them?

I did clean the contact too with isopropyl alcohol, no luck too.

Im sorry. But that's all I can think of. I know my dd9 reacts the same when the battery is almost empty. Except for the pushing on the bottom part....

I am from Germany, i need help for my broken WM DD9. I have heard about a person called Doktor Walkman. This person should live in Italy. Till now i am not able to find his Email adress. It is possible to get a phone number or something else ?

I hope some of you would help me soon.
