hs-px 101 "ITS ALIVE"

After some confusion with belt size for my Aiwa hs-px 101 the right one turned up today, and for the first time in over 10 years it is playing music . All functions seem to work . Dolby b/c and metal tape . The dsl works ,after a thorough clean. The logic control has a stop button with a mind of its own sometimes, but i am led to belive this is common ?
Only slight problem is the channels can drop out very slightly occasionally, more like a wave . I am hopping this is just a head alignment issue . But now i know it works i am going to change all the caps anyway...
Now off to lisnern to some music

I have sort of sussed the problem, well sourced it anyway . I have to manually align nearly every tape . If a track or side goes dull just a tweek on the head alignment screw sorts it . The head is secured so it must be something else ?? any ideas ??

On the HS-PX101, the Stop button is also the Direction button when in stop mode.
If you press Stop when not playing, it tells the walkman to play in the other direction when play is next pressed, making a few clicks & clonks while achieving this.
Not completely convinced of the usefulness of that feature TBH
