I just bought a white, beautiful HS-J09 on ebay. Tuner sounds nice, motor is running, but cassette did not work.
I did not open it yet, but I think it needs a new belt.

I have a good dealer for belts here in Germany, but I need to know the size.
Did anyone here can tell me the exact size of the belt for this unit ??

Had the same problem myself. Never did find out the size of the belt. Just got lucky and bought a J09 for parts which had a perfect belt. Should have measured it. Changing the belt on these is a bit tricky. I have the service manual. I can send it to your email address if you wish. Just pm me your email address.

I think I will open the unit and try to measure the size.

Just received a replacement belt for my J-09 from the link above, and these idiots send me two belts that would barely fit around my thumb. I also had to wait over five weeks to receive it. It must have been posted via snail mail. Total and utter idiots.

Does anyone know the correct size belt for this model?

I think I owe this seller an apology. The belt he sent me is perfect. It was doubled in the package, and looked like two small belts. It is me who is the idiot I'm afraid. The slow postage is down to China post and not the seller, who actually offers free postage.

I did not opened my AIWA, but what I saw on images (of the opened unit) it seems to me
that the belt must be longer?
The length of the J-09 is 112mm, and the belt goes around several wheels and the motor
is on the opposite side?
Maybe I`m totally wrong, but are you really sure?

Yep. These are the manufacturer dimensions. The belt works perfectly on my J-09.
