Just thought I would post this here. Left channel is dead and sometimes I hear a faint hight pitched noise on the Right but sometimes it is perfect and clear.  I am a tech but don't usually work on Walkmans. I had this since a kid so thought I would try and fix. If anyone has any insight. I only see 2 chips and I need either the data sheets for those of for the actual Walkman might be nice. I just need to know what I am supposed to see. I am not sure if the chip is bad or not. it is a TA8105 Toshiba. Has 24 pins. The other is a AN6650 and I think it has 8. What are the most obvious causes for this problem? Should I replace the chip. Are they hard to find?? Any onsight or info appreciated. I wish I had a scope at home but I don't...  THANX 

Anyone know where to find schematics on this stuff? Man I come form tubes and they are everywhere.. Trying to get a data sheet for a chip is like pulling teeth out.
