I was opening my Aiwa walkman to replace the belt and 1 thing just fell off from nowhere and I'm stuck figuring it out where it came from.

Hope someone can help me please.

It has some kind of moving mechanism like a swing. It came out from somewhere near the Play+Auto Reverse button located at the far right of the 2nd photo.

Oh no, nightmare!!! What's it made of, does it look structural or just cosmetic i.e. plastic.  It might be a guide to ensure the tape sits against the tape heads correctly but this is just a guess.

Its all plastic & its structural. I guess the 2 horns stick in somewhere (which I'm unable to locate). The U shaped thing in the middle moves like a swing.

Since it came out while opening the outer casing, I'm guessing it's something superficial but I might be wrong.

No one knows where this piece belongs?
