Hi all,

I'm new to this forum so hello everybody

Firstly I know very little about walkmans etc. I do know however that i've just been through my loft and found my old Panasonic RQ-SX75 walkman that used to serve me oh so well when i was in School!

I've also noticed that the battery is missing, the oblong lithium (i'm guessing) battery thats part of the main walkman. I still have the screwy in additional AA battery bit, and its all boxed with all other components, just cant remember where the other battery is.

I tried some googling, hoping to buy one from ebay, and most posts lead to this forum

which leads me to my question ....Does anyone know where i would find a replacement battery for a Panasonic RQ-SX75 walkman? I'd either like to keep it or sell it with the battery.

It should have been waaaay ahead of its time, but was when CD's and minidisc were kicking off so a little too late!

You can get an aftermarket "Gumstick" Battery for these units.  I believe it is the same type as most of the ones sony used.  the battery is a  Panasonic RP-BP62 gumstick battery.  1.2v 600mAh NI-CD  battery.  I took this right off of my working battery from my Panasonic RQ-SX50-S.
