Why so?
Hi agentorange,
will Tell you Why. The Most People here think they can get the Best Walkman for free or very Little Money!!!
See my discussion last Week.
Greetings
corry
Corry, I think you'll find that every person here thinks (hopes) they can get the best walkmans for free or very little money. I'm sure you'd agree that we'd be insane not to expect this, or at least try.
I'm more curious as to why the 'Walkmans for sale & auction' thread is the wrong forum to 'make offer'?

People here would normally pay more for certain units, but when you start by asking over $400 dollers with no headphone or not being even mint, may have good center wheel now, but soon it will break they all eventually do, nothing you can do about that, its a design flaw, everyone here knows that already. By your asking price people just assume you are trying to rip them off, and will stay away from your ad or offer you lower then what they normally would be willing to pay.
People think, I'd list it really high. See what you get for offers, for a month's listing fee you pay about a buck. That's nothing.
After the listing expires, relist it for a reasonable price now that you've seen some offers.
No one wants to list something too cheap and find out they could have gotten much more, right?
But wrong! this actually hurt you because people will bid your lowest and wait for the last days to bid or offer you very low prices, when they would have paid more for it.
It like the time when I PM "Mike" on a TPS-L2 with the box, all he was asking for it was $50 bucks, I knew that unit was worth alot more then $50 and because he wasn't trying to rip people off. I told him he could get $400 for it and step-by-step on how to list it, with good pictures of every angle and of box with and put a very good description and if it was fully tested and to set his price low to attract more buyer he ended up getting over $750 dollars for it wow!!
Ebay is a litte different then running a business you can't treat them the same!! With a business you don't want to set your prices to low, because you attract the wrong type of people. eBay you want to attract as much people as possible, it create a "Bid war" which is what you want, people then realize the value of the item, then bid more, then you would have gotten a high dollar value for your item, if you did this first.
I been known to pay as much as $400-$1200 on certain units depends on how you list it and if it "NIB", I also been burn on a couple of units to and paid $219 on then them and it came broken! So now I only buy NIB, I don't mess with used units anymore got burned to many times doing this, so have others on here especially more recently?
