What´s so funny...need any pics...?

ao - 2008-10-17 13:16

Excuse us, we don't get many questions like this.

Actually, we'd like to see some pics especially of the headphones as they might be rare if they're the right ones.

As far as value goes, it varies. If there's someone around at the time you sell it then you might get lucky, if not, then maybe not. Walkman's aren't really like cars in that there's a set price. Sadly there's only around four people in the world who collect them & two of them are here. With Christmas on the way Walkgirl & I are saving for the festive period so sadly we can't buy your Aiwa.

Anyway, pics would be good.

piccys would be good. i think im the only NEW Zealander who collects seriously in this country LOLZ

ao - 2008-10-17 13:30

Do you find many in NZ or do you have to buy them in from overseas?

philmurray - 2008-10-17 13:35

Hey there. not really down here, they are rare, i find the odd one on trademe here which is our local auction website but mostly overseas and cos the NZ dollar is usually lower than most country's currency i tend to pay a fair bit more when im looking on ebay. so ive spent a small fortune. the aiwa ones i want are the most elusive for me but patience is a virtue Smile i did pic up a nice sony one here yesterday

funenergizer - 2008-10-17 14:15

Hai Agent...

sorry...i know...but have no idea about the $ by trade or sellings and i´m not a collector...

I will place some pics in the next time...

Similar situation over here in Australia-I go to mostly second hand and charity stores and don't often see Aiwa players donated or sold regularly-but I did find a P05 and a another Aiwa model not too long ago (only got the former, missed out on the other one).

Mostly, when I do these can be had for AU$1.

Where are you & how much are you after?

If this thing works I wouldn't mind it myself.

zx280 - 2008-10-19 03:13

I will buy this. How much? Pm me.

Very interested in RP.200SP in AA's collection. Never seen one of these before and as a dedicated `sports' collector (I have 44 different sports models) would like some information about it please. Did you get it here in Aus?

philmurray - 2008-10-19 11:16

Let the bidding war begin LOLZ!! Dude put it up on Ebay then everyone here can have a shot :P

walkgirl - 2008-10-19 14:03

I do not what that walkman Leaving

aa.fussy - 2008-10-24 01:14

Yes-I did get it in Australia, however the radio section's reception was poor.

Eventually got rid of it and found a Sharp JC-108GY (with its original headphones),which I currently use.

Until a few years ago, I had 2 early Walkman models (but sold or threw away these)/
