You all know me to be a very dedicated collector with attention to detail and honesty.   Scary how these buggers become such a loving part of your life ( know many members understand).   I will be posting some valuable walkman on S2G in next few days for general members to make offer on. 
    

   I know you all understand that finding this player in working condition and with box in good condition is well - -  more rare than the TCM-10 and certainly 20 times more rare than the WM-W800.   It is rare to find one of these maybe a year on ebay and thats optimistic.    This is a opportunity for someone to own certainly one of the MOST VERY RARE walkman ever made.  PM me with "reasonable" offers.  If you are paying in GBP or EURO you are buying in USD at a HUGE BARGAIN.   Please make offers in "YOUR" currency.
 
THE GOOD
1.  Both sides play but side 2 is better with  VERY VERY slight Wow/flutter.  it is listenable but belt could be replaced.   Side one has just a bit more unsteady sound than side 2.  Sound is VERY clear and good highs for this era player and powerful AMP... all good here.   SEE VIDEO YOUTUBE LINKS
2.  Unit RECORDS WOW !!!  I dont know how it does it as when rec pressed it plays at like half speed and with very audible wow/flutter yet when you playback recorded tape it sounds fine..
Dont understand how it can do that without some fancy speed sensor effecting recorded side but bottom line it records. 
3.  Cosmetically it is in VERY GOOD condition not perfect , the clear windows are generally
scratch free even fine ones.  There are a few marks here and there pictures should show fair representation of exterior condition.  
4.  ALL FUNCTIONS sound features work including Auto rev. change button changes direction flawlessly !  Only works on side 2 ( designed that way)
5.  FF/ REW works excellent fast starts right up on side 2
6.  Has BOX , Owner Manual, unused strap and player.  BOX is near perfect
on one side and has few marks on other.
7.  Battery area no corrosion CLEAN
8.  LOW SERIAL NUMBER one of first 1200 MADE !!!!

THE NOT SO GOOD
1.  Missing the orig. foldable headphones...
2.  Missing the FM tuner cassette ...
3.  Box has small tear on one flap not bad , piece all there and only tear not nearly broken off.
    It is taped correctly from behind.  Small flap on box lid torn off, have.
4.  Vol Scratchy slightly only when adjusting.
5.  Side 1 REW/FF tries but not move tape, side 1 plays but not as steady as side 2 but not bad at all SEE VIDEO , has clear sound.
6.  When recording it appears to play at half speed during recording and you can hear tape speed is not constant BUT when you play back newly recorded tape... It plays fine....??? No idea how it does that.
7.  Missing case for walkman

For those who don't know, the HD10 is a grail amongst grails, not only due to it being the only 'other' double cassette walkman but there simply ain't that many around.
