I have had this Panasonic RQ-S90R for a while now, but only recently with some spare time I have been able to bring it back to life again with a re-belt. The heads, capstans and rollers were all cleaned. The head unit has also been demagnetised too.

There is light scuffing of the tape door, but given that this item is ~19 years old it is in very good condition There are some crease marks on the plastic bezel at the corner near the tape speed switch. Apart from these flaws there are no other real points of wear and tear to note.

Acoustically, there are no issues. Dolby, S-XBS, ASC, Live all function as intended. Note S-XBS and ASC can only be activated via the original headphones and these will be included.

The RQ-S90R dates back to 1992, and features the following :

Auto reverse (including reverse recording)

Dolby B (playback only)

3 tape speeds for playback and recording

Digital tape counter

Tape indexing

ASC (Amenity Sound Control)

S-XBS

Live mode for added reverb and echo

In-line remote control within the headphones

Original stereo clip microphone (not pictured as I found it after taking the photos)

Original bi-lingual Japanese/English owners manual

Hi plop...Excuse me for asking...do you have any other walkman for sale...im in the uk....they need to have had new belts though...I was interested in this one untill I read that the xbs could only be activated by remote...I have the 71 same thing bass by remote..and guess who has lost the remote...I have 2 broken sony dd9 if your interested in a trade...thanks
